2. HOW RELAY CONVERT HANDLES YOUR DOCUMENTS
The document-processing functionality of Relay Convert operates locally on the computer or device on which the Software is being used.
Selecting a document for conversion or another supported processing operation does not cause that document to be uploaded to our servers.
Since the document remains on your device throughout the process, Relay Convert does not receive or have access to:
- the information contained in the document;
- any text or images included in the document;
- file metadata that exists only within that document;
- the resulting converted file; or
- any confidential, sensitive, or Personal Information contained in the document.
We do not maintain copies of documents processed by Relay Convert, including either the original document or converted output.
This also means that we cannot inspect, retrieve, restore, or recover your documents. Their contents are not provided by us to third parties and are not used for advertising or for training artificial-intelligence models.
Because these documents never leave your device, there is also no copy held by Relay Convert that we could provide, modify, or delete in response to a privacy request.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have sufficient legal rights, permissions, and authority to process each document you select for use with Relay Convert.
You also remain responsible for protecting files stored on your device. Appropriate precautions may include maintaining backups, restricting access to your device and accounts, using antivirus protection, and keeping your computer and other security measures appropriately maintained.
